How stable are sensitive active ingredients in liquid capsules compared to soft gelatine capsules?
Liquid capsules made from HPMC, such as GreenCaps, offer a decisive systemic advantage. The capsule shell has a significantly lower moisture content than classic soft gelatine. This minimizes the risk of migration of ingredients into the shell and prevents premature hydrolysis of moisture-sensitive active ingredients. In addition, the banding seal effectively protects against oxygen ingress, which prolongs the oxidation stability of oils (e.g. omega-3 or algae oil) without the use of massive antioxidants.
Can water-soluble and fat-soluble components be combined in one capsule?
